by no means a great movie, lamberto bava's directorial debut does have a few great images and ideas. a supposedly "true" story of madness, sexual obsession, murder and necrophilia set in new orleans. fucked up enough to be creepy, but not really that effective overall. still, well worth seeing for fans of the genre.
