IN A DIFFERENT PLACE
i've recently learned from a very perfunctory googling of the subject that raccoons don't hibernate. sort of. i've noticed over the last while that the usual sounds of raccoons partying on my roof at night have almost completely died off. this made me curious about their winter habits. apparently they enter a state of "torpor" over the winter, where they become sluggish, sleeping for days at a time and only leaving their cozy little raccoon dens infrequently to stumble around looking for snacks. sounds a lot like my life these days...
