PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK (1975)
this is hands down one of the best movies i've ever seen. haunting, surreal, dream-like, mysterious and beautiful, yet none of these words really describe it or the effect it had on me. i woke up on the couch at 6am this morning not sure if i'd actually seen the movie or just dreamed it. truly a masterpiece, no shit.
soooo eerie. in high school our theatre department did a version of this. even performed onstage with shitty production values and terrible acting, it scared me!
